The Baltic Financial Advisors Association (BFAA) is delighted to announce the renewal of its collaboration agreement with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). This agreement, signed on April 25, 2025, extends the strategic partnership between the two organizations for another three years, reinforcing their shared vision of supporting high standards of competence and integrity among financial professionals in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
This renewed cooperation builds upon a successful relationship established in 2017, and continues to bring significant benefits to financial practitioners in the region. Under the agreement:
- BFAA will continue to recognize four CISI qualifications—International Introduction to Securities & Investment, International Certificate in Wealth & Investment Management, Certificate in Securities, and Investment Advice Diploma—as equivalent to BFAA’s own licenses.
- These recognitions are formally included in BFAA’s Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) process, providing professionals greater mobility and recognition across jurisdictions.
- CISI will maintain recognition of BFAA’s Investment Advisor and Investment Insurance Advisor qualifications for eligibility for Associate (ACSI) membership.
- CISI will waive joining fees* for BFAA-qualified individuals, offering access to a robust platform of learning and CPD resources including CISI TV, webinars, podcasts, and industry publications.
Furthermore, the two organizations are exploring joint events to promote continuous development and bring valuable insights to the Baltic financial community.
We are excited to continue working together with CISI in building a more knowledgeable, ethical, and mobile financial services workforce across the region.
